::Arrived at 115pm to be welcome by a rude security guard, who initially refused to let me in and then finally agreed to let me Park their car in their garage! I'm returning the car and everyone is at lunch after letting me wait outside on a dirty chair a lady with the appearance to be in a supervisory role arrived, one of the employees quickly got to his feet and opened the office with the reception (20min had lapsed). Only to sit there for an additional 15mins. Finally an employee came to the reception to ask me to continue waiting, while his partner finished lunch and he inspects the vehicle. I value my time and selected avis despite their higher than average prices, because of their service state side, welll in El Salvador their service possibly the worst, BTW insurance is mandatory and it does not cover damages, that is an additional $17. A day and it carries a $1,200. Deductible which they charge to your card prior to letting you take the car. As they are conducting the inspection, they tell me the employee with authority to release the funds back to my card has had an emergency and won't be able to release to my card. Moreover another costumer arrives to rent and he. Immediately takes priority over me.i am told the car has a new scratch in the bumper and I will be charged for repairs. The car had so many already, I genuinely can't remember and just need to leave this place! It is already 215pm and I am still waiting for them to finalize the paper work. Next time I will take pictures of the vehicle prior to taking it!

::I went to San Salvador and had the best experience at Avis. Maria Carmen went above and beyond to help me. It really was a fantastic experience, I highly recommend. One tip: you WILL have to purchase liability insurance. The prices on the website do not reflect this, and it is not included in your credit card insurance agreement. I felt the prices were fair even when I added this. I will definetly be back to Avis on my next trip to El Salvador.
