::My family and I recently traveled there to Ahuachapan and stayed at Casa Mamapan for about a week. The stay wasn’t pleasant. The attention was bad.. most of the employees seemed rude and unwilling to help. The rooms aren’t cleaned everyday unless you beg them to do it. I stayed in two different rooms during my stay and the bed linen on all beds weren’t washed well.. there was always hair on them... what type of hair.. I don’t know..They only give one roll of toilet paper and you have to ask for more! Breakfast is included but the food wasn’t all that great.. needed more flavor. The tamales and pupusas weren’t fresh. The beds were very uncomfortable, my body hurt every morning, and the pillows they provide are cheap small pillows. I will never stay At Mamapan. I recommend the owner of the hotel buys better beds, linens, and pillows for future guest. Also.. parking is horrible bc it’s near busy business.

::As soon as we arrived the receptionist was giving us the stinky eye. She said she couldn't find us on the books. She reluctantly took us to the room after showing her a screen shot of the confirmation. The room was extremely dark even with all lights turned on. This was true throughout the whole hotel. The toilet was so close to the wall and the a/c didn't work well. There's no phones in the rooms. After settling in and napping 45mins after check in we get a knock at the door. The same receptionist demanded we pay now. A few hours later I came out to ask if there was anything nearby for a soup or medicine. My partner fell ill. Unfortunately she didn't care to help like in the other hotels. We so desperately wanted to leave that hotel but were stranded. There are NO UBERS AVAILABLE IN THIS AREA and were warned not to take taxis. We waited till day light to run out of there and called our previous driver on his personal phone.

::Great hotel right in the middle of town. Good shops and restaurants nearby. It's right on the town square where there is always something going on. Great spot to get the local experience.

::We love to stay in this beautiful colonial house/hotel, cozy and lovely home. The dorms, the rooftop views, delicious local food, excellent service and the best location in Ahuachapan. If you want to stay in a place where you can feel like a home, with good spaces to work in and outside, or you only want to relax, this is the best place. The secret: an amazing green forest just 2 minutes from La Casa de Mamapan. Thank you!
