::We came across Alma Azul from their excellent surf videos on YouTube. We stayed for nine nights and really loved our large room with great views of the jungle and all the exotic colorful birds whoād perch on our windows. The bed was super comfortable as well. We love Picie, the hotel dog as she was our dog away from home. The place is very clean, great grounds, nice staff and Lissette the owner is super helpful.

::For the price, you can't beat Alma Azul! Not right on the beach, but super convenient. Without a doubt, the best restaurant in El Cuco. After cooking amazing Italian and Indonesian dishes, the Australian chef hangs up his apron and breaks out his guitar for great after dinner entertainment. Super chill environment, friendly staff, and comfortable rooms. Comes with a great breakfast!
