  The location is near my family which makes it ideal to visit them everyday. I appreciate the daily breakfast buffet and option to dine in. (Breakfast was sometimes cold, the warm/hot did not maintain) The price is fair. We were thinking of staying at the Comfort Inn but the location was further away from our family; however by the photos from reviews online, when we were booking, Confort Inn was cheaper by $10 a night and the hotel looks cleaner and better for a cheaper price. Trópico Inn looks dirty even after they’ve cleaned, also it looks and is very outdated and old, I think their prices should reflect that (lower rates) but I hope to stay at Confort Inn and compare them in the future. The dinning restaurants are a great view and ambiance but the room was not nice to look at.

  I want to start by saying that although this hotel is thought to be the best in San Miguel it has a lot of work to do. They change their prices whenever they please. My husband had been there 2 months before and was told weekend is more expensive than weekday. We arrived in June and were told the opposite. I don't mind paying for things that are worth it. They told us we had one of the "updated rooms" since my husband had been there recently we walked in and it was exactly the same as his. Outdated, and nothing new about it. The bathrooms are dirty they do not clean the shower area well especially the tile. we needed to stay 4 more nights but decided to check out the next day, skip the free breakfast and move to The comfort Inn which was much better... Tropico may be good for events and meetings but need to level up as a hotel.

  Great service, close to everything you need, good breakfast, friendly staff, air conditioning in the rooms, nice bar, pool and very safe.
